Your Path to TfL Licence Acceptance
Official B1 Certificates
Provide a B1 English Language (CEFR proficient) Certificate from a TfL approved test centre or equivalent. We ensure your qualification is 100% accepted.
GCSE Equivalents
If you studied in the UK at secondary school level and completed your GCSE (or similar) with an A* to G grade, this may be accepted as it’s equivalent to a B1 level qualification.
ESOL Submissions
Students who have studied ESOL may also provide their original B1 certificate as evidence. TfL will consider these qualifications for your licence application.
